Our History
Lafayette Awning Company has recently been established to service the market in Central Indiana.
When the Tent division of Lafayette Tent & Awning Company was sold to Lafayette Tent and Events, the Awning Division was dissolved. This left a gap between the Chicago and Indianapolis markets.
Mike Blessing, owner of Merrillville Awning Company since 1992, saw the need to fill the gap by creating a new division … Lafayette Awning Company.
He recruited Conner Hickman to represent our Awning Team in the Lafayette and West Lafayette region. Conner is a lifelong resident of Lafayette and a Purdue Alumnus as well.
We design, build, and install commercial canvas and metal awnings for every kind of business imaginable, from retail to industrial. We’ve been doing it for over 35 years and consistently win awards for our work.
